Jackdaw (Coloeus monedula)

The bird of 2012 belongs to the family of crow relatives. It lives in the cultural landscape and broods preferably in tree hollows, buildings niches or chimneys. Evident for the jackdaw is the gray neck and pale eyes, it is slightly smaller than the other Crows species.
