Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus)
Including the long, cusped tail the cock is up to 90 cm large, usually copper red with dark green, iridescent
head and red cloth on the face, some have white neck ring. The hen is smaller, with a shorter tail. The
territorial-call of pheasant rooster usually follows a clear vocal wing flapping. Pheasants are often found
on field edges bordering forests.
