Crested tit (Parus cristatus)

Approximately 12 cm tall, gray-brown tit with black and white head pattern and conspicuous, pointed hood. In young birds, the hood is still very short, the typical black-and-white head pattern but very soon pronounced. Usually, the crested tit timbers their nesting hole in rotten tree trunks itself.
