Nuthatch (Sitta europaea)

14 cm tall, stocky, short-tailed songbird with a uniform blue-gray top, pale orange-brown base and a striking black eye line. The nuthatch likes to come in winter for feeding sites. He is the only spezies of native bird life who can climb downward head down on tree trunks.
