Leaf-warbler (Phylloscopus)



Warbler is a genus of small, slender songbirds. The genus is spread in Europe, Asia and Africa with about 40 species, the individual species are very similar. The beak is very narrow, most species have a bright overeye stripe. The plumage is predominantly yellow, green or brown. A common feature of all types are missing signs for gender, the youth clothes do not differ significantly from the adult clothes. The foliage singers include the willow warbler and the Chiffchaff, also the wood warblers.
