Common spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia)
The spoonbills are a subfamily of the ibises and spoonbills. The beak is flat, long, straight and
at the end widened spoon-like. The plumage is mostly white, the diet consists mainly of aquatic
insects, larvae, small crustaceans and mollusks animal. Breeds very locally in patches of reeds and
bushes in most single-kind colonies.
