Tufted Duck (Aythya fuligula)

Diving duck with tuft at the back like a heron. Remarkable are the yellow eyes. Males in breeding plumage black with white edges. Living at up to 6 m deep lakes and ponds and along the Baltic coast. Dives specifically after zebra mussels.
