Common wood pigeon (Columba palumbus)

Large dove, significantly larger than the street pigeon. Great white neck spot at the side as an identification, at risk loud clapping of wings when starting. Breeds in forests of all kinds, also in parks and large gardens. During spring and autumn, occurrence often in dense flying swarms.
